Join us at the library!

The BEMUS POINT LIBRARY  showcases all new flooring, wood shelf ends and stack signage.

Please stop by and visit us!  This project was made possible by a generous grant from The Carnahan Jackson Foundation of Jamestown, NY.  and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

The Special Education Program at Hewes Center, BOCES in Ashville refinished and painted our display bookcase.  Come see our new selections displayed on this great bookcase.  Thanks go out to the teachers and students. WE value our collabortion with the local schools.

Bemus Point Heart and Soul Needs You!

Bemus Point Heart and Soul, the Bemus Point Library’s effort to gather and disseminate the stories that reflect the rich history and identity of the Bemus Point community, is continuing to gather stories.   The goal is to find, record, and transcribe the everyday stories and memories of residents and visitors of all ages.  Together, those vignettes – told in your own words – will live on the project’s website and will be displayed on thematic panels that can be displayed throughout the village.  This project, funded by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, and the United Arts Appeal, is a community-building endeavor that showcases the mission of community libraries in the digital age.  We need your stories!  To sign up, or for more information, please call the library at 386-2274 or visit the Heart and Soul project website.
